The Winter Olympic games were just a glimmer in someoneīs eye back in 1900 when it was first introduced. Figure skating was even slated as a summer event in 1908. "International Sports Week 1924" is planned and approved for Chamonix, France, despite the opposition of Olympics founder Baron Pierre de Coubertin.
